Dan Donegan, born August 1, 1968, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and founding member of the multi-platinum heavy metal band Disturbed. Known for his precise riffs, inventive solos, and innovative guitar techniques, Donegan has become one of the most respected figures in modern metal.

Before forming Disturbed, Dan played in a band called Brawl, which later evolved into Disturbed in the mid-1990s with vocalist David Draiman, bassist Steve Kmak, and drummer Mike Wengren.
